- Dharmendra in “Phool Aur Patthar”(1966)-As people often say, destiny has its own plans — and Phool Aur Patthar is a perfect example. Although Sunil Dutt was initially O.P, Ralhan’s ( Film’s producer, director and brother in law of actor Rajendra Kumar) (preferred choice for the rugged, intense role, it was Dharmendra who ultimately made it his own and rose to iconic status. During the shoot, however, Dharmendra and Ralhan faced a brief but serious clash. The disagreement affected him so deeply that, in a moment of frustration, he confided to his mother that he even felt like leaving the film — and the industry altogether.
